Diane McClelland

Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Girls STEAM Institute

Diane L. McClelland, founder/CEO of Girls S.T.E.A.M. Institute, is a civic leader, entrepreneur and an advocate for women-owned businesses and young girls for 30 years. During this time, she co-founded three non-profits focused on helping women business owners gain access to capital and global supply chains and more recently Girls S.T.E.A.M. Institute focusing on training and mentoring young girls to be entrepreneurs in the STEAM industries.
Pembe Candaner


Pembe Candaner is a leading Turkish-American Business Woman, Co-Founder and President of JobzMall, the world’s largest virtual career community for Gen Z, has pushed the limits for women in business and society at large for decades. During her tenure, she has run multi-national corporations across 4 continents. Pembe is an author of 4 books, international and national speaker, and she believes and works on empowerment of youth and women, apprenticeship, entrepreneurship and the usage of technology to humanize work.
Kate Edwards

Vice Chairwoman

Kate Edwards is the Executive Director of the Global Game Jam, as well as the CEO and principal consultant of Geogrify, a consultancy which pioneered content culturalization.
She is also a Board Member of Take This and is the former Executive Director of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) from 2012 to 2017. Following 13 years at Microsoft, she has consulted on many game and non-game projects for BioWare, Google, Amazon, Facebook, LEGO, and many other companies. Fortune magazine named her as one of the "10 most powerful women" in the game industry in 2013 and in 2014 was named by GamesIndustry.biz as one of their six People of the Year.
Deborah Todd


Deborah Todd is an award-winning writer, designer, and producer specializing in science and working with developers, studios, production houses, and publishers worldwide. Productions include video, books, video games, comics, animation, and articles in a variety of media. Translating complicated science into engaging stories is her superpower.
Arzu Ozbek


Arzu Ozbek is a global leader in strategic sourcing and supplier management with over 20 years of experience in fortune 500 companies. She managed over $10 Billion spend and led mission critical strategic sourcing initiatives for the implementation of new technologies especially in energy, utility and hi-tech companies. She created business opportunities and contributed to the development of diverse suppliers, Women, Minority owned business enterprises.
Billie Bryant Schultz

Board Member

Billie Bryant Schultz is the CEO of CESCO and has led in transitioning the company from a service organization of used equipment to become a technology innovator in digital transformation for the printing and other technology industries today.
Rachel Bernstein

Board Member

Executive Producer @ Google. Rachel Bernstein is a video game designer and developer based in San Fransisco. Bernstein graduated from Princeton University with a degree in electrical engineering and computer science in 1987. After founding and running successful video game companies herself, Bernstein joined Electronic Arts and became an executive producer for Maxis, overseeing the development of the Wii version of MySims Agents and The Sims Medieval. Since 2013, Bernstein has served as an executive producer at Google for the Android Play Studio. She has been a speaker at many prestigious events and an author of two books.
Tom A. Furness III

Board Member

Tom Furness is an amalgam of Professor, Inventor and Entrepreneur in a professional career that spans 54 years. In addition to his contributions in photonics, electro-optics, and human interface technology, he is an original pioneer of virtual and augmented reality technology and widely known as the ‘grandfather’ of virtual reality. He is the founder and chairman of the Virtual World Society, a non-profit for extending virtual reality as a learning system for families and other humanitarian applications. Tom and his students/colleagues have spun off 27 companies with an aggregate market capitalization of ~$10B. He is a Fellow of the IEEE.
Jeff McClelland

Board Member

CEO, Kids Healthy Foods. Experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the facilities services industry. Skilled in Negotiation, Business Planning, Consumer Products, Sales, and Team Building. Strong business development professional graduated from University of Oregon.
Kerri Norris

Board Member

Kerri Norris is a global professional specializing in international strategy development, strategic alliance building, and communications. Fluent in French and Spanish, she has worked with Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs, and non-profit organizations. During her tenure at Staples, Inc., Kerri built and led a strategic alliance valued at over 240 Million U.S. Dollars annually in the United States and which spanned fifty-one countries. In this role, she represented Staples at the U.S. Department of Commerce, United Nations, World Bank, Fortune 500 customers, embassies, and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, where she served on the Global Business Committee.
Jenny Xu

Jenny Xu is a game designer, developer, artist, animator, and avid long distance runner! Currently working in the intersection of fitness x gaming as CEO of Talofa Games, which is making a social running augmented reality game.
