Girls STEAM Institute Girls Teams exploring the International Space Station while floating above the surface of the earth in AltspaceVR.

Join us in Sunriver, Oregon, for a special event honoring Girls STEAM Institute’s STEAM AHEAD program with NASA®. The day-long event is followed by a special “Evening Under the Stars” session at the Sunriver Observatory to learn more about our galaxy and beyond and look through the many unique telescopes they have on display.

NASA Astronaut, Cady Coleman, Space Shuttle Engineer, says it all:

“We need to empower people to see themselves in science, make discoveries, and move our understanding of our planet and beyond.”

Our special guest, NASA Administrator, Bill Nelson, former Astronaut, underscores the opportunities for women and girls to become explorers and reach for the stars and join a growing number of female leaders at NASA who continue to propel space technology forward.

Girls STEAM Institute supports the advocacy and mentorship for local high school girls to become interested in STEAM and to picture themselves as an innovator of new ideas, and a future entrepreneur who can co-create solutions with girls from all over the globe.

Girls from local high schools can participate in their own hands-on experience through kits provided by NASA to learn better understanding of Space and the work of NASA. Parents, teachers, and community leaders can participate in a separate workshop that will lead discussions from technology experts in Metaverse and the technology advancements using AI in Healthcare, how Virtual Reality is bringing together people to solve global challenges affecting humanity.

Tickets payable at the door.

Girls STEAM Institute™, a 501 (C)(3) nonprofit, is a growing global organization that inspires, empowers high school girls to learn about using STEAM and technology as entrepreneurs to create virtual collaborative innovation with girls globally.
