The journey has not been easy. The COVID-19 pandemic forced GSI to rapidly pivot, moving their signature programs to virtual platforms without losing their impact or heart. Rather than retreating, they expanded, reaching girls from more countries and communities than ever before. Today, GSI operates on a lean budget that would be impossible for most organizations, yet their ambition and reach only grow stronger. We make every donation go further.

Perhaps most notably, GSI’s groundbreaking partnership with Educators in VR and IREX produced the Learn to Discern program, teaching critical media literacy and digital discernment to a global youth audience. Current initiatives like the GSI Business Challenge 2025—held entirely in ENGAGE XR and focused on mental health solutions aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals—demonstrate how GSI continuously evolves to meet the needs of tomorrow.
